Remo Marini has been the Group Chief Security Officer of Assicurazioni Generali since 2016. In this role, Remo is responsible for managing IT & Cyber Security, Corporate and Physical (C&P) risks, executing Group security programs, and coordinating responses to major security incidents, including crisis management.
In addition to his role at Generali, Remo is the CEO of Generali CyberSecurTech, a startup created in 2018 to provide innovative solutions for client risk assessment and to support the Cyber insurance business.
Before joining Generali, Remo held the position of Head of Security Service Line at Unicredit Group, where he was responsible for IT security, physical security, access management, anti-fraud, and corporate security. Previously, Remo gained significant experience during his 15 years with the State Police as an expert in IT security and cybercrime.
Remo graduated in Physics from the University of Parma with a specialization in Cybernetics and subsequently completed international specialization courses in IT and cyber security.
Throughout his career, Remo has developed and promoted various research activities. He is currently the president of the F3RM1 Foundation, which focuses on advanced research in cybersecurity. His main areas of interest include Quantum Computing, vulnerability discovery, botnet monitoring, and malware analysis. He is the author of several scientific publications on security and information technology. Additionally, Remo is the founder of the blog Rewrite.technology, a platform for in-depth analysis of technology, innovation, and cybersecurity.

Since 2016, Francesco Nonni has been working in cybersecurity at Generali Group. He currently holds the position of Group Head of Security Governance, managing all aspects of the group security function governance, including internal regulations, monitoring of country security posture, security KPIs, BCM, budget, and relations with corporate bodies and top management.
From 2020 to 2023, Francesco held the position of Group Head of Security Governance, managing all aspects of the group's security governance function. Prior to this, from July 2016 to 2020, he was Global Head of IT Operations and Security Risk Unit, responsible for identifying, measuring, and reporting IT risks, implementing Generali Group's Cyber Security Awareness and Culture program, coordinating reports to corporate bodies, and managing the budget for the entire Division.
In 2023, Francesco became the CISO of the International business unit, coordinating cybersecurity across more than 30 countries from Asia to Latin America and Eastern Europe. At the beginning of 2025, he resumed the position of Group Head of Security Governance.
Before focusing on cybersecurity, Francesco gained 7 years of experience at a leading management consulting firm in the financial services sector and worked for 2 years at Generali Group headquarters – Operations Division, focusing on governance, project management, internal regulations, and coordination of global regulatory programs with operational impacts.
