Francesco Nonni
Group Head of Security Governance
Since 2016, Francesco Nonni has been working in cybersecurity at Generali Group. He currently holds the position of Group Head of Security Governance, managing all aspects of the group security function governance, including internal regulations, monitoring of country security posture, security KPIs, BCM, budget, and relations with corporate bodies and top management.
From 2020 to 2023, Francesco held the position of Group Head of Security Governance, managing all aspects of the group’s security governance function. Prior to this, from July 2016 to 2020, he was Global Head of IT Operations and Security Risk Unit, responsible for identifying, measuring, and reporting IT risks, implementing Generali Group’s Cyber Security Awareness and Culture program, coordinating reports to corporate bodies, and managing the budget for the entire Division.
In 2023, Francesco became the CISO of the International business unit, coordinating cybersecurity across more than 30 countries from Asia to Latin America and Eastern Europe. At the beginning of 2025, he resumed the position of Group Head of Security Governance.
Before focusing on cybersecurity, Francesco gained 7 years of experience at a leading management consulting firm in the financial services sector and worked for 2 years at Generali Group headquarters – Operations Division, focusing on governance, project management, internal regulations, and coordination of global regulatory programs with operational impacts.
